Check out this great article that summarizes the benefits of taking kids outside in the winter!  Help your child’s teachers out by making sure they have all of the clothing needed for keeping warm during outside play.

Make sure your child has:

  • Waterproof mittens are best (and easier than gloves for little ones)!
  • Boots
  • Hat or face mask
  • Scarf
  • Waterproof boots (see if you can find a pair your child can put on)!
  • Snowpants or snowsuit
  • Warm coat

For indoors:

  • Layering is best in the winter – leave an extra sweater or sweatshirt in your child’s cubby/locker
  • Extra socks and underwear
  • Extra pants
  • Extra shirt

Also:  Peace of Mind will provide extras if your child is out, if they come home, please wash them and return them so we have them for use with other kids who might be short of supplies.  We also really appreciate donations if your kids have outgrown clothes – we’ll put them into our “extra” clothing supply!
